River Valley Pipe (RVP) of Lacon, Illinois, is expanding its production to Iowa Falls. The new location will be at the former Riverside Book and Bible Warehouse at 401 Lawler St. in Iowa Falls. The company plans a $2.5 million capital investment and expects to hire 12 employees for positions including a Yard Manager, Line Operator, Line Technician, Office Manager, and a salesperson. They aim to start production in June of this year.

During the selection process RVP narrowed a list of 25 possible towns down to just three, and eventually decided to locate in Iowa Falls. The company worked with the Iowa Economic Development Authority to identify a location that could accommodate their needs in the region between Ames and Mason City. The resources offered by the State of Iowa, the hospitality of the City of Iowa Falls and the people of Iowa Falls helped with their decision.

RIVER VALLEY PIPE EXPANDS PRODUCTION INTO IOWA

Expanded production leads the company to better serve new and existing customer base.

Iowa Falls, IA, June 1, 2022 — River Valley Pipe has been trucking its vibrant, green product through Iowa for years from its home base in Lacon, IL. Coming June of 2022, RVP is expanding its production capacity via the company’s second-ever production facility in Iowa Falls, IA.

The opportunity to grow the business stems from the company’s customer-first culture, supplying contractors with the best products and service to get the job done. The new plant in Iowa allows RVP to better service its Iowa customer base, living up to the company’s promise of next-level service and customer experience for the ag drainage contractor. The company understands how small the work window is for drainage contractors and how important product availability and service is during that short amount of time. An additional facility closer to some of the company’s best customers means that contractors can truly make the most of their working seasons.

COMPANY HISTORY

River Valley Pipe’s foundation was built in 2015, not only a top-tier product, but also an unmatched customer experience unlike any other in the industry. As a life-long drainage contractor himself, the company’s founder withstood bad products, disrupted communication, and untimely delivery from other suppliers. River Valley Pipe was conceived as a “no nonsense” pipe shop that makes great pipe, tells it like it is, and delivers with unrivaled service. An additional base in Iowa is a game changer for this small, but growing business, and with it, River Valley Pipe is ready to bring more green to Iowa.
